Who am I?

Hi! I’m Dr. Jackie Dooyema and I have been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2015. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Sioux Falls and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of South Dakota. Following a few years of outpatient orthopedic work, God led me to become a pelvic floor PT when my husband and I moved to Nashville, Tennessee. I was the Clinic Director of an outpatient pelvic specialty clinic. When we returned to South Dakota, my family claimed I gained a southern accent, but what I really came away with was a desire to care for pregnant and postpartum women. I realized a significant need for specific education and care for these women. I am passionate about pelvic physical therapy for women, and I desire to bridge the gap in care and advocate, educate, and strengthen prenatal and postpartum women to help them achieve their highest activity potential. As a mother of two, I understand the fears during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum recovery. I have specific training and education from bump to birth and beyond, unlike anyone else in the region.

Why choose concierge in-home pelvic PT?

In-home pelvic PT means I come to you! Ease the commitment to physical therapy.

  • No traveling to a clinic. Treatment in the comfort of your own home.

  • No need to worry about finding childcare and/or taking time off work.

  • Convenient times available. Schedule before work, during your lunch break, or before the kids get home.

  • 1:1 with a licensed Physical Therapist the ENTIRE session.

  • Treatment table and equipment brought to your home each session.

  • Fewer appointments overall to reach your goals, making you stronger and in less pain faster.

In a clinic, you will typically get to see a PT for 15-30 minutes with the remaining time spent with an assistant or technician. It is standard in the physical therapy industry to share your appointment time with at least 1 other person; this doesn’t allow the PT to hear your whole story and tailor YOUR goals and exercises to YOU. Because I can focus on you and your care alone for 60 minutes, I am able to see my patients much less frequent than in a clinic setting to meet their goals.

What is cash-based PT?

Fearless Physiotherapy operates in a cash-based (direct pay) setting; however, cash-based does not mean cash-only. All forms of payment (cash, credit card, as well as HSA and FSA cards) are accepted. Because Fearless PT is considered out of network, an invoice can be provided to you upon request to submit to your insurance for reimbursement to you directly.

A direct pay system has many benefits for your care. Outpatient clinics push for patients to be seen 2-3x/week for 6+ weeks. With cash-based treatments, I am able to provide high quality, well-rounded treatment to get you better in less sessions without pressure to be seen for 12-18 sessions. Insurance often places limitations on number of sessions and services that can be provided. By providing cash-based services, I have the freedom to provide the care you need and deserve. Also, cash-based PT allows for you to save money overall. Co-pays in a clinic can run upwards of $200-$400 per visit, which can add up quickly with multiple sessions each week.

My goal is to get you better, in fewer sessions overall, allowing you to do the things you love!

Testimonials From Other Mothers

“I am so thankful I went to see Jackie to explore pelvic/deep core PT.”

“After having baby #3, my core and pelvic floor strength had become very weak. Being an active person, I thought exercise and weight training would be enough to get that strength back, but it wasn’t until meeting with Jackie that I finally started to notice real, positive results!”

“Jackie walked through what my body specifically had going on and gave me exercises and stretches to get myself back in shape to start working out again like I had prior to pregnancy. Within a few weeks I could see and feel a difference and I have been able to incorporate what she's taught me into every day life as well as higher intensity workouts. I absolutely would (and already have) recommend this type of PT, and specifically Jackie, to any woman who is wondering about this type of treatment. It's a game-changer.”

“Jackie provided me with so much knowledge. She helped me identify muscles that needed strengthening and eased my fear of thinking “this is just my new normal”. After just 3 sessions with her, I gained all my confidence back when it came to working out. “

“I highly suggest Jackie as a knowledgeable physical therapist willing to help birthing moms on their pregnancy journey. Jackie meets people with respect and a listening ear.”

“I am extremely grateful for the education she provided me and I know I can carry that knowledge with me and apply it to my next pregnancy. I absolutely would recommend Jackie!! Especially if you are thinking about having a baby, currently pregnant, recovering from giving birth or have had a baby in the past. She is AMAZING!!! Thank you for everything, Jackie. I am so grateful for you!”

Whether you’re currently pregnant, recently had a baby, or had a baby years ago, it’s the perfect time to pursue pelvic PT to improve pelvic floor and core strength and coordination.
